Launch of "Skar Senior" fishing vessel for Norwegian shipowner

Wisła Shipyard, the main shareholder of which is Navimor Int., has specialized in the construction of various types of watercraft up to 90 meters long.

We specialize in the construction of various types of fishing, training and research vessels as well as small passenger ships.

Navimor Int. and Stocznia WISŁA delivered over 150 vessels of various types and purposes to our customers in Europe and Africa.

We have unique knowledge and achievements in the design and construction of highly specialized ships designed and adapted especially to work in tropical waters.

Wisła Shipyard as part of the Navimor International group is also a subcontractor of large Western European shipyards and provides, inter alia, hull modules for the MEYER WERFT shipyard, which builds the largest and most luxurious passenger ships for such shipowners as Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Int., AIDA Cruises, Royal Cruise Line, Dream Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Star Cruises.

Navimor and Stocznia Wisła also supply hull modules for the first two helicopter-landing ships, weighing over 7,000 tons, of the MISTRAL type built at the French DCN Brest shipyard, and offshore structures for the Norwegian company AkerKvaerner. We systematically deliver ship modules and superstructures for the Norwegian shipyard Kleven Verft AS. Stocznia WISŁA specializes in structures that require high qualifications and accuracy - for example, structures of the entire stern of the ship, which cannot be built by machine, or superstructures made of thin-walled materials. Wisła Shipyard processes currently approx. 9 thousand. tonnes of steel structures per year - this is one of the best results in Poland.

The second specialization of the Wisła Shipyard, unique in Poland, is the construction of fishing vessels for fisheries in the tropical zone. Their design is specially adapted to high water and air temperatures and to catch specific species of fish.

For the Ministry of Fishery of Angola, we have built four ultra-modern stern shrimp trawlers. The ships have been designed, fully built and equipped by the Wisła Shipyard, which is becoming the main Polish producer of tropical fishing vessels. In Angola, a group of Polish engineers was responsible for the technical efficiency of the units.

In recent years, NAVMIOR has delivered, among others, the Bayagbona fishing and research vessel, built for the Nigerian Oceanographic and Marine Research Institute, which was awarded the title of the most modern vessel produced by the Polish shipbuilding industry.
